It is a huge task to groom the Northeast players with best
international standard football training to enable them to compete with top world
competitors at Indian Super League match which Meghalaya Chief minister Conard
Sangama has proposed to fetch this dream by providing a proper plot to John
Abraham the ISL franchise of NortEeast United FC in positioning an academy to
train the players.
Already there is a base for training in Guwahati, Assam but
the requirement is much and one Academic center is not enough where the matter
of food and lodging for players from far distances concern and the Shilliong
base will be of great help according to ISL’s NEUFC club owner John.
