Fighting for justice the Athletics Federation of India (AFI)
requested the Asiad committee to bring fair judgement on Bahrain’s interruption
in Hima Das’s performance at 4x400 meters relay race in Asian Games 2018.
On this highlight by AFI today the Asiad committee consented to
pass their judgement against the Bahrain player’s obstruction during 4 x 400
meters mixed relay race which caused lapse in Hima Das‘s performance and had to
settle for silver rather than gold clinched by the former nation.
Fall of Bahrain’s athelete Oluwakemi Adekoya before Hima Das had impacted
her performance as she had to change her track and take control of her speed.
It may be a few seconds matter to happen this awful scenario for Hima but for
Salwa of Bahrain who was taking the next lead in the relay race it is enough to make a difference in track coverage which agitated AFI.
