The state government is finding itself in trouble in its hybrid paddy bidding decision when a seed supplier Green Vision had filed petition to the Guahati High Court against the anomalies while selecting bidders after certain changes in the process was made.
Green Vision demanded (Central Bureau of Investigation) CBI probe on possible illegal money drain from public’s account while making payment to the suppliers during hybrid paddy bidding process. The petitioner claims existence of corrupt practice during this entire paddy bidding process.
On this the state government asked one week time to review and make subsequent changes to the matter. The bidding committee has made certain changes in its process where only one bid will be made for each variety of seed and it is compulsory to produce a patented certificate.
