Started in early 80's the Assam Agitation which was considered to be the remarkable mass movement against infiltration in Indian history, Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit marked with reverence to priceless sacrifices made by 855 martyrs during Swahid Divas on 10th December.
Khargeswar Talukdar was first to initiate the protest against the voting system without revision of the electoral rolls to track illegal immigrants for the security of the rest genuine citizens of the state.
Governor praising on the martyr Khargeswar Talukdar's vital role to engineer this stir of Assam Agitation act among the mass of the state by educating people to fight for their rights in a best effective way, asked people to be proactive like him against any evil in the society for the best safeguard of the motherland.
