Manipur's Innovative Agricultural Approach Driving Fund For Support


Manipur is agricultural concentric region of Northeast won't be wrong to say as its agricultural extension has gone up to Rs 750 crore with 2016-2017 budget sanction of Rs.2020 crore including Rs 170 crore for agriculture education where as an innovative approach recently Union Agriculture and farmer Welfare Minister Radha Mohan Singh mentioned to launch Integrated Bee Keeping Development Centre (IBDC).


According to Welfare Minister Radha Mohan Singh the NE states will be provided with dynamic opportunities to outgrow agricultural output. At the inauguration of regional agriculture fair 2016-17 at the Central Agricultural University in Imphal Minister Mohan Singh highlighted about positioning special infrastructure for scientific beekeeping under the initiative of the National Bee-keeping Board.



In addition Minister Mohan emphasized on availability of soil health cards among state's 1,14522 farmers. Today under Manipur's thirty three years old agriculture university there are about thirteen colleges from former seven.
