loin loom’s fabric motifs and innovative design textiles was successful in driving more
crowds with West Bengal's 'kantha' fusion at week-long Weavers Studio
exhibition held a way back in 2013 is predominant in present fashion.
Weaving products made from indigenous back-strap mobile bamboo looms from Northeast
states like Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and Assam were displayed at the exhibit
with fusion ‘Kantha’ of West Bengal on to a nine-yard sarees was the major attraction
including cushion covers, wrap, chaadar and table linen according to Darshan
Shah, founder-trustee of the studio.
