Assam’s Sivasagar District Sent On High Alert With Possible Threat Of Nagaland Anti Social-Element Infiltration


In an attempt to keep anti social elements infiltration at bay the additional district magistrate of Sivasagar district of Assam, Bidit Das enforced night curfew order from (6 pm to 6 am) in the areas sharing borders with Nagaland.


Under Section 144 CrPC, Sivasagar additional district magistrate has prohibited any kind of movement  be  it person or group or any traffic within the 5 km belt encompassing border area shared in between Assam and Nagaland states.  


As a prepared move against infiltration of Nagaland’s anti-social elements, extremists and unlawful activities along the Assam border area connecting Sivsagar district of it this order came in forward to avoid possible threat to life and propriety including social disrest.

This order will remain effective for sixty days but also can shorten and extend as per to the situation demand with follow up of strict penalty against violation of the set rule under Section 188 I PC.
