The country welcomes a new change in its fuel economy with introduce of plan to drill in 6 crore liters of ethanol to meet greater demands from consumption domains like farm and forest sectors of India and Northeast.
Ethanol is recommended to be the best fuel alternative to help ease 50,000 families earning which depends largely on fuel, the Centre in this perspective has initiated to expands its economic horizon by directing Numaligarh Refinery, Assam base of Northeast to enhance its fuel production capacity to triple the amount from the present phase.
This NRL, Assam's fuel investment project is one of the largest kind for the Centre as it will cater to the need of greater horizon in India with slash in oil imports with introduce of 10 % of ethanol blending and establish gas grid of worth Rs. 9000 crore.
