In the recent state
budget update to the Central government, the Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh had placed proposal for sports development under “Khelo India Scheme.”
In the recent 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly
followed on the second day, CM Biren Singh initiated stronger infrastructure
development to train and promote the talented sports person at national to
international level. Under the latest budget initiative the Manipur government
is to set up multiple outdoor gyms as sport facility for its development.
