Central Team Begins Their On Spot Damage Assessment In Flood Hit Zones Of Assam



Headed under Prime Minister Modi the appointed Central team which already had arrived in Assam has begun their flood damage assessment process in Guwahati city and other affected areas with Chief Minister Sarbananda government’s support.


During flood assessment process Vinod Kumar Pipersenia and Joint Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs, V. Shashank Shekhar leading the team had meet Sonowal and appreciated State Government’s prompt measure in controlling increase damages.



Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Biswanath, Karimganj, Barpeta, Cachar, Hailakandi and Majuli districts of Assam will be covered by this flood assessment team during four days period assorted time by the Centre counting from July 25th. Assessment by the central team will be made as per to the report created by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) which specified affected 1,795 villages from 24 districts of the state with a population of 11,93,458.
