Six Medical Colleges On Plan For 2017-2018 In Assam


It is a kind of medical relief with six plans on ahead where work will be initiated in three destinations of Assam like Lakhimpur, Dhubri and Nagaon in 2017 and three more in 2018 at destinations like Nalbari, Kokrajhar and Tinsukia at Rs 570 crore according to Assam Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma


This entire session of medical college set up will take three years time with Centre aided investment of 90% including government rest on the budget of Rs 570 crore for targeted three initial hospitals.

As per to the proposed financial plan to install three hospitals in varied regions of Assam the amount will be divided equally with additional Rs. 40 to Rs. 45 corer financial support to each hospital for further upgrade at the second phase to prepare it for the Medical Council of India inspection.



This 500-bedded hospitals’ construction at Nagaon and Dhubri destinations will be initiated by the Union Health Minister J P Nadda.
