In Manipur’s first power history will go solar as it has
entered into a tripartite power pact on 17th Feb among MSPDCL (Manipur
State power Distribution company Limited) and Manipur Renewable Energy Development
Agency (Manireda) with Solar Roof Top Power Voltage –Plant (SRTPV-Plant) for
power purchase at Old secretariat.
MSPDC (Manipur State power Distribution Company) the
mastermind behind making this historic occasion to happen in Manipur, the Chief
Secretary O Nabakishore mentioned that this is a big initiative by MSPDCL to
save energy through natural power generation and the best way to promote green
energy consumption. Manipur really need to generate awareness in public about
energy saving initiative as the solar power move is made by the government to
help people economically stay tuned and stay energy sufficient.
