In
the attempt to popularize the game with strong inflow of crowd the AGS (Assam
Gorkha Sammillan) paced a different strategy for their 3rd edition football
tournament it was launched at Lakhipur Tea playground in Binnakandie Ghat by
Tej Narayan Sharma of AGS, regional committee.
To
drive the spirit of integration this sport activity was launched where Sumitra
Lama, president, sub branch, Lakhipur graced the event along with Pradip Rai the
chief guest, Rimi Paul the chairperson of Lakhipur Municipal Board and Rupa Chhetry
the general secretary. In this healthy game affair to unite people and have
favor of the sport the Harinagar football team clinched the title following
with the runners-up like Dholai East football team and Ganganagar .
