Bonfire or Meji
festival marked on Magh or Bhogali Bihu attracts entire people of Assam
including Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Governor Banwarilal Purohit, and former Chief
Minister Tarun Gogoi to bond
and bring in positive energies.
To mark the year beginning
with positive energies Sonowal stated that Magh Bihu is to symbolize
purification through burning of bonfire to drive out negative energies and attract
positive forces.
Former Chief
Minister Tarun Gogoi and Governor Banwarilal Purohit also extended their warm wishes to the people of Assam
and merged in the enjoyment of Magh Bihu celebration with traditional sweets
and warmth of bonfire.
