Digital India Campaign Shillong Bewares People On Changes And Adapt Electronic Mode Of Payment


Demonetisation phase would not had been so harsh if people were accustomed to ATM card or electronic mode of payment due to which the Digital India Campaign was staged in Shillong where officials of State’s Deputy Commissioner Office, District Planning Office, DRDA and National Informatics Centre (NIC) participated to inform people to prepare for the digital change.


In this first ever digital programme which was attended by stakeholders and officials of various banks the Technical Director of NIC, Meghalaya Benos Lyngskor mentioned that they will act as a change agent so that every staff of varied departments switch on to cashless mode of payment and procure bank accounts if they have not created.



Emphasis on electronic payment system (EPS) was marked during this campaign is to warn people that in the future it can possibly the only mode of payment which can also ease payment for expensive purchases.
