Bajirao of Assamese Music, Papon Suprises Assam with IIFA Award


Bajirao the king of Assamese music, Papon formally known as Angaraag made a major triumph in series of 2016 film award functions, adding another feather to his cap the prestigious International Indian Film Awards (IIFA) at Madrid, Spain.

This year the luck was with 'Bajirao Mastani' which swept major film awards but Papon turned out really to be a dark horse who swept alone many. Good songs will be rooted always, Papon after series of success for his IIFA award winning song stated, "This track has managed to come so far. In today's fast-paced world where music is created in a rush, 'Moh moh ke dhaage' bears testament to the fact that good songs will find their way into the hearts of the audience."

IIFA award added to his cap Papon became the first Assamese singer and music director to win pride for his homeland Assam. Expectation for further success in Bollywood music world by Papon is high with his next heart touching  song ‘Bulleya’ from Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma's movie Sultan by Yash Raj production.

To Sultan’s melodious note ‘Bulleya,’ a mix of subtle touch of folk music is added to give it an elevating feel to drive a greater mass. A grand opening for Sultan's music album awaits after thrashing 11 million hit of its trailer. Assamese people are now singing 'ye moh moh ke dhaage' to Papon now with zeal and pride for bringing name to the land.
