Supreme Court Determines To Seal The Fate Of 40,70,707 People On 31st July

In the last final draft of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam accounts 40,70,707 people as illegal residents where 37,59,630 after re-validation process were detected to be invalid where 2,48,077 rest are still on the process of verification.


On to this continued process of NRC validation finally a decision was made by the Supreme Court on Wednesday that 31st July result will seal the fate of the complaint figure of people permanently.


This decision came under SC panel of justice headed by Ranjan Gogoi who has given to the Assam NRC coordinator Prateek Hajela "free hand" permission to settle matters firmly on exclusion or inclusion of citizens plus claims and objections in NRC’s current re-validation processing.
