Authorities Of Northeast States Speeds Up Rescue For The Powerless And Shelter Less People!

Unexpected ‘New Years’ welcome by the cyclonic storm of spring month that took people with surprise by flattening houses and electric network on 15th April, intensified government to swing fast into action to rescue people as polling nears and where public votes count.


Deputy Commissioner, C.P. Gotmare of Meghlaya, West Jaintia Hills has directed immediate action for proper assessment of damages to property and life to the Block Development Officers (BOO) and Gram Sevaks .


The Caroline Colony of Jowai town of Meghalaya was left in blackout for several hours as multiple electric poles remains uprooted whereas many houses remained standing under the open sky with no rooftop.  

Interestingly, Guwhatians woke up to the call of Nature's fury at 2:30 a.m. to 3:55 a.m phase of early morning on 17th April when people falls into tight sleep.
