In the fierce gun battle with naxals in Jharkhand on new year’s beginning on 15th April which left three militants dead even a brave jawan from Assam’s 7th battalion of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) named Biswajit Chauhan’s life was sacrificed.

Young at age of just 24 years and fierce at heart Biswajit Chauhan the CRPF martyr from Puthimari Gaon of Kalaigaon, Udalguri district made Assam proud for his bravery act in Jharkhand’s fight against Maoist operation.

It was a tough operation for the four years experienced CRPF jawan Biswajit as the encounter with Maoists took place in the dense forest area of Bhelbha Ghat of Giridih district in Jharkand at the peak hour of early morning of 15th April at 6 am where three militants were grounded.

It is the second setback for Udalguri district after Pulwama CRPF martyrs where the government ensured high honor and all support to the bereaved family of the Jharkhand CRPF jawan on duty in the challenging mission against the Maoist.
