Election Commission of India was asked to update the report in details on the exact figure of changes in the revised electoral data from 2017 to 2019 by the Supreme Court Chief Justice on 12th Tuesday, March.
Supreme Court’s panel of judges headed by the Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi directed the Election Commission to be more precise on to the matter as to why the listed voters are not highlighted in the NRC (National Register of Citizen) final update to be released on this year 31st July, 2019.
Affidavit regarding to the fate of those in a state of confusion of their citizenship right should be produced within two weeks time frame by Assam’s poll panel during next session with the Election Commission according to Supreme Court’s latest order.
