2019 election in Assam has a new set of phase to set as the NRC scrutiny on certified citizens of India has intensified the polling air in this region, people do not want to miss out this opportunity to vote to ascertain their citizenship right.
The first phase of polling to empower 75,16,284 total voters which is to process from 11th April in Tezpur, Jorhat, Kaliabor, Lakhimpur and Dibrugarh while the second phase to be conducted after seven days gap on 18th April in Nagaon, Silchar, Mangaldoi, Autonomous and Karimganj where 8992 polling stations will be availed for total voters of 68,36,496.
Three days gap the last phase of voting to be scheduled on 23rd April in crucial areas like Guwahati, Kokrajhar, Barpeta and Dhubri will cater to 9577 polling stations for access to 7407824 voters. EC to introduce critical polling stations of about 1913 in numbers and highly sensitive polling stations of about 3663 on its necessity.
