State power department has been directed to progress with a new shift in generating electricity in a safer mode by mapping comprehensive policy on solar power harness  in urban as well as rural sectors by  Honourable Chief Minister Sonowal recently.

Investors are ready for Assam’s energy facelift to solar power but the electricity department has to clear soon the impediment through fast formulation of the non-conventional electric supply policy. Chief Minister Sonowal on a careful note accentuated on complaint box set up to help understand consumers’ grievances before processing the policy by the power department of Assam.  Additional Chief Secretary including senior officials had been directed by Sonowal to ensure quality and timely performance from contractors.
