National former football player Somatai Shaiza who played twice in Nehru
Cup for renowned football teams like East Bengal and Mohun Bagan has planned to
switch from the previous profession to enter into the field of politics for
Bharatiya Janta Party.
This 43-year-old football player Somatai Shaiza already had a bitter taste
of politics when he faced failure while championing Trinamool Congress as its candidate
during 2012 but knowing that the party has no future in Nagaland has took a
break from it to divert into a more dynamic political player BJP.
Presently Somatai Shaiza will be contesting from Ukhrul constituency to
fight against TMC, LJP, Congress and NPF parties where he is confident on BJP’s
strategy to win as he has faith on Narendra Modi’s outlook and policies. Moreover
Shaiza feels BJP should take over Congress as they are not playing a fair game
in driving the state towards bankable constructive future.
