As warned by different village tribes if
the norms of the Congress Government for new district launch in Manipur do not
comply with their terms then they can take intensive measure which became
evident on the day of inauguration of newly-appointed district Noney when four
police personnel came under fiery retaliation from the militants.
Sub-inspector Bikash including three
constables who were on duty at the playground where Manipur’s Noney district
was to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh were fired by the
militants on 16th December. But before this violent retaliation the militants
showed intolerance to new district decision by gunning down to death three
police personnel, leaving eleven others injured in Tengnoupal district.
Now before the infringement of next attack
why the government did not initiate cautious measure and clarified the
objection hold by the tribal village authority regarding 'revenue' centric
statement or declaration of the new district?
