Way back 2001 who could have
thought that a seventeen year old young boy named Banwang Losu of Arunachal
Pradesh would like to script history in language by surviving a rare verbal
Wancho dialect in words and later to undertake the biggest challenge to translate
entire Holy Bible in his rare community dialect.
This is an incredible attempt made
by Banwang Losu who is inspiration to many struggling still to give meaning to
their verbal language through encrypt in words rather than depending on other
language to communicate one’s feelings.
Before Banwang Losu scripted
history by scripting in words for the first time his community’s Wancho
language he had earlier worked as English translator later turning to teaching
where in this advent he further enhanced his language skill. Later at the ripe
age of 30 years possibly Banwang Losu was ready with his script of Wancho words
to help 56,000 plus people of his community to transmit their beautiful verbal
words in written form.
Popularity of Wancho words had started
to hit the internet and web application due to which the 37 years old
government teacher Banwang Losu of Arunachal is recognized with honor but it
was after US based Unicode Consortium registration the search in Wancho keyword
was made possible at search engine sites. Now due to Banwang Losu’s effort and
dedication the English script could be translated in Wancho language to relate
issues between two worlds.
