Indian Railway Authority after receiving strong resistance from Deepor Beel localities had to approach the DC of Kamrup Metro to direct the unruly local mob to stay out of their process on the track alignment survey to establish a secure diversified route from the old one to avert frequent present accidents.
Currently the Indian Railway has requested the Kamrup Metro authority to intervene into the matter and give special instruction to Deepor Beel community to stop roughening with its survey team for proper alignment inspection that comprises of State’s Forest Department, Public Works Department (PWD), the Circle Officer of the Azara Circle and Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd (APDCL) officials.
