Large Revenue Provider Assam Silk Industry Need To Edge Export Requirements To Rule International Market

In Assam, silk industry has undermined exportation for a long time not only due to technological gap but due to certain other factors that are affecting its revenue from international market. Certain criteria that State silk industry lacks in boosting its exportation sector are due to management quality, timely produce of valid export certification, logistics branding initiative, professional flair, export nuance and strategic campaign to attract target clients.

Apart from it Assam's silk industry faces hurdles of taxation, policy and non-trade barriers which do create problems in product exportation. Proper policy to maintain silk industry’s transparency is lacking to attract desired clients and to garner greater revenue from its production through export. Moreover to add misery to its exportation there are not sufficient testing infrastructures to sanction on time export certificates to traders to sell their quality products.

Lack of low interest loan hindering weavers from producing traditional materials as quality cost escalate due to which its market remains lower than non-traditional market in worldwide. Education in export is low in remote areas where max weavers generate silk production due to which it indirectly affects in Assam silk industry’s revenue collection in international market.
