Nagaland ‘Peace Movement’ Through Lyrical Contest


First ever a Songwriting Contest was conducted in Nagaland recently where budding poetic minds were given an open field exposure to bring out their value through words in stringing note.

“Tapping the untapped Talents” theme concept this contest was positioned for the first time for the young generation of Nagaland is to help them seize the opportunity to lent their voice and expose their values.

According to organizer DK’s Entertainment Group (DK’s EG) about 86 contestants from different districts of Nagaland will make free entry to this platform from 9:00am onwards that is scheduled to take place at the venue of Green Park, 4th Mile, Dimapur.


To grace this event the Chief Conservator of Forest, Supongnukshi, IFS unveiled the title track of the contest. In this on spot contest the writing materials will be provided to help contestants structure the song in two verses with a pre chorus, chorus, bridge and an outro according to the Event Manager of DK’s EG-Alebu.



Depending on the consistency of the style, creativity, theme, simplicity and appeal of the verses the winner will be selected. It is in the attempt to emphasize peace and harmony in the state through music activities what the non-profit organization is trying to aim including bridge of employment in this sector.
