The e-Assam Initiative is The Best Medium for Globalizing and Economic Growth

Still yet Assam is not able to move in the pace that rest in India is advancing through digital medium where the e-Assam initiative appears to be an outstanding opportunity.

This giant move to digitize the state to overcome the lapse in progress is erected under the clubbing effort of the Digital Empowerment Foundation, North East Development Foundation, AMTRON Department of Information Technology and Govt. of Assam. This initiative is undertaken to popularize and provide the best ICT practice of the year with perspective to extend state’s development process and meet the needs for the State governance.

It is to cater solutions to the growing demands from multiple categories like tracking & reporting, information dissemination, inter-personal communication, monitoring, front line staff training, process reengineering and service delivery including other pivotal ones, this digital programme will be implored in the percepts to make Assam as the economic hub like rest of India.

Speed counts where share of ideas in the above categories matters for faster outcome in state’s economic and development process. E-medium like social media, web, mobile including ICT based digital tool and application enables faster productive outcome. Even the Open Knowledge Community (comprised of UNESCO in India, Electronics & IT, GoI and Department of IT) is involved in extending knowledge support in this new big e-challenge of Assam.

Recently in Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s 100 days programme, the Agriculture department of Assam proposed for the implementation of e-tendering process. To intensify seed procurement and process fruit trees distribution to 1 lakh farmers, soil health cards to 30,000 farmers, a citrus fruit centre at Bamunigaon including cold storage at Chenijan through online tender procedure. This reflects the necessity of e-Assam to head state’s economic future by enabling people to do multiple tasks at one stop. This enormous  result oriented e-Assam techno ensures curtail in waste of time, money and energy.
