Ten Percent Completion of Barsapara Cricket Stadium - Himanta Biswa Sarma New ACA Chief


The newly appointed president of the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Himanta Biswa Sarma the State Cabinet Minister made a promising note on the development of cricket game and completion of remaining ten percent of Barsapara Cricket Stadium with assistance of Gautam Roy.

ACA's important newly elected members at a glimpse are Chief patron Sarbananda Sonwal, Patrons: Naba Doley and Gautam Roy, Vice Presidents: Babul Hore, Anil Bora, Romen Dutta, Rihan Daimary, Niloy Dutta and Devajit Sakia including Secretary Umpire's board Parimal Sinha.

New Day, assurance of positive and clean outlook from ACA’s newly elected team, Himanta stated, "ACA will be clean from now on and I can assure you that new days are coming and along with ex-players and will work towards development of state cricket."




Himanta Biswa Sarma New ACA Chief May Be Temporary

In the near future Himanta Biswa Sarma's role as ACA President may be temporary if Lodha Committee's demand is approved that any minister or government employee not holding any designation in BCCI.

Acknowledging possible fluctuation of his position, Himanta assures bright future for the game and hopes that he will give full completion to Barsapara Cricket Stadium by August 2016. Optimistic about his success with strong co-operation from the Chief Minister, Himanta added, "We will try to host an international match next as soon as the stadium is completely ready."
