Assam Electricity Tariff Hike To Become Effective By 1st Feb And So Strong Opposition

Assam Power Distribution Company (APDCL) to exceed electricity charge by Rs 50 paisa per unit for all consumers from 1^st February which the All Assam Student’s Union (AASU) has condemned strongly as unfair.

According to Fuel and Power Purchase Price Adjustment (FPPPA) the hike money will be used for Fuel and Power Purchase Price Adjustment technically, but the consumers will be badly affected due to which AASU to raise statewide protest on 1^st Feb. Assam Government’s this anti-people decision is to impact lakhs of poor and middle class  consumers due to which the protest is to be made statewide that AASU is vehement on its decision.

Young Assam Scientist Wins Elite NSAI Title

NSAI (The National Academy of Science, India) on its Platinum Jubilee acknowledged young scientist of Assam Manabendra Saharia with ‘Young Scientist Award’ for the year 2022.

Manabendra Saharia, the young scientist who educated in Guwahati is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cvil Engineering in Delhi IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) won this elite title in the recognizance for doing exemplary job in Computer Science, Electronics and Engineering fields.

Even NASA Saharia was privileged to work in the Hydrology Lab at its Goddard Space Flight Centre and the National Centre for Atmospheric Research.
