Meghalaya is going for the biggest event of the year in the state’s
history of sports with blue print ready to give design to National Games which
is a great honor for any state of India.
Vibrancy and excitement fills the state which is strongly
recognized for quality and extensive athletic population, taking domain in many
national events be it football, basketball, taekwondo, martial art, boxing and
many others.
Already the blue print is ready and the land approved to
conduct India’s National Games in Shillong but there is jinx of fear that Meghalaya
may not come up with this big sport event challenge as fears expressed by the
Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
But Meghalaya's Chief Minister Conard Sangma is determined as already the
government has given in lots of effort to
materialize this dream and has so has processed their proposal for
inauguration venue and sports events venue to the Union Cabinet. Expects the
Centre to soon pass approval of their proposal and signal ok to follow up with the blueprint process to give dimension to the long cherished of conducting National Games event at the heart of Shillong capital city, knowing that it will be the biggest boost to their
greater population of athletics.
