Be it in Guwahati capital city of Kamrup district or recent foil in Cachar district at Silchar-Aizawl Road during inspection by the Silchar Custom Headquarters and BSF lB officials there are large cases of fake currency cases coming into exposure when Election Commission had set strict action against any illegal monetary dealing between party candidates and voters.
Since Election Commission's flying squad teams have intensified their jobs in all over Assam now alternate option left was fake currency as during the poll gear up the numbers of cases related to it have come to greater exposure which relates only one thing that is to dupe people to gain votes.
It was during the fall of the auspicious last day polling in Assam on 23rd April when two persons in motorbike was caught red handed with Rs 8,04,000 fake currency on Silchar-Aizawl Road of Kabuganj area in Cachar district of Assam by state’s security.
The third rider managed to flee from the spot successfully though Assam security did their job well to stop people from duping voters especially in the attempt to show greed to garner votes illegally that is beyond the norms of the electoral body. May be the fake currency delivery attempt was made by the three motor bike riders to cheer up those who voted their candidates.
