Conard Sangma To Further Enhance Tourism To Boost Its Rich Dividends

On the inauguration of mega Tourism project like  the Lake View Cottages and Orchid Lake Cottages near the scenic Ummiam Lake, the Meghalaya Chief Minister Conard Sangma marked on the eve with further assistance to its department’s development process to garner greater revenue.

Tourism department’s this mega attractive project was headed by the Swadesh Darshan Scheme of Ministry of Tourism of Indian Government India to enhance the increase inflow of tourists at both domestic and international domains.

According to Sangma It is in highlight of boosting tourism market, potential tourism sectors of the state will be assisted for further installation of bankable projects. Recognizing the substantial role of A. J. Alphons the Ministry of Tourism and Union Minister in boosting tourism economy with 95% growth at domestic level with improved assessment of growth at international level, Conard Sangma praised during the inauguration of the new cottages.

Meghalaya government extends all support in systematic approach of investment and development of state tourism with emphasis on campaign promo like the unique selling point of a particular destination.

Conard marked that the development of heritage village projects in multiple destinations plays a pivotal role in educating tourist about region’s culture and tradition. Apart from the state the central government is ready to extend help to Meghalaya tourism department’s development with greater installation of network infrastructures for better experience of in and out transitions.  

Expects positive outcome of the recent launch of cottage project that was proposed in 2016 with investment of Rs. 99.13 crores under the scheme of Northeast Circuit Development by the state government of Meghalaya. Even Secretary Tourism Government of India, Yogendra Tripathy taps potential growth of Northeast Tourism with proper implementation of various effective schemes.
