After Congress now BJP lead
Assam government is planning to fund Rs. 500 crore to give an edge outlook to
state run ASTC (Assam State Transport Corporation) buses by installing hi-tech equipped
systems loaded with bus tracking and ticket issuing softwares.
Additionally the workshops
of ASTC in Rupnagar and Paltan Bazar area of the city will be installed with
CCTV while every bus including other transport vehicles run by it will be GPS
system equipped according to Managing Director Anand Prakash Tiwari.
Later two ASTC corporation bus
monitoring centers will be erected in Lower and Upper Assam divisions are to
come up according to Tiwari.
