This year in 2019, the 12th annual edition of Bogali Bihu Utsav will be conducted at the premises of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha Namghar to mark it with holy tradition of Naam Kirtan to welcome the Sun God to spread its warmth on the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti phase of Magh month in grand manner.
This two day eve from January 15th will be conducted by the Silkijhaar Bishnujyoti primary unit of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha where initially a xarai will be placed as a mark of the event by Suwan Das, Haramohan Das and Dhareswar Das with later follow of tree sapling plantation by Sambhuram Das and flag hoisting by the president of the organization group Sanjay Das.
