Recently three activists like Dr. Hiren Gohain, Akhil Gogoi and Manjit Mahanta were picked up lawmakers for devising people into agitation with their controversial statements.
Sedition case is registered under activists with intention to disrupt normal function of the state by creating unnecessary ignition of protest. FIR against Mr. Gohain was filed under Sedition Case by Guwahati city’s Latashil police for targeting to defame the government and disruption in normal daily activities at public meet.
Rest activists were accused on the terms of diverting people in their rallies to create independent Assam that redirects to ULFA’s clause of demand. The arrested activists have enough potentiality to play as divisive role in propelling the government if they do not withdraw the bill and to debar its political group from making entry in next election.
