Today in a tough challenging world even disabled child requires
empowerment of education to confront situation to make their life easy where in
Guwahati, Assam Bal Bharati Trust’s principal Ashoka Sarma has made tough
attempt to create a special world for them which is rare to find in major parts
of Northeast and so is high on demand.
Ashoka Sarma’s patience in encouraging parents of special child to
empower them with education and build courage to compete in various challenging
fields that they had never dreamt off has today given a fruitful result. Today,
Ashoka Sarma has successfully channelled greater network for special children
to ensure greater exposure of their talents.
In the attempt to make people aware how to deal with special
child Ashoka has conducted multiple workshops for teachers and parents. At
present she has 64 specially able children including 500 mainstream students
but there is no discrimination while educating them as they both attend in one
class. In Ashoka’s school premise there is no special class for the differently
able child where even at lunch time the normal students and teachers joins with
them to create a sense of belonging.
Bal Bhariati Trust’s special children are trained well to prepare
for National Institute Open Schooling (NIOS) secondary examination. Principal
Ashhoka who is Msc. B.Ed qualified provides two expert special B.Ed qualified
teachers including others who are professional in educating and growing up such
children with best measures. In Guwahati there are three CWSN (Children With Special Needs) based schools but
Ashoka’s is best referred for better upbringing of the children where even the
talented ones gets chance to partake in special Olympics and national level games
events also.
Even NIMHANS, Hyderabad had once recommended Ashoka’s school as
one of the best CWSN institute in Northeast where in 2016 their special team of
three doctors had paid visit to it and was gratified by its healthy
environment for fruitful growth of the special children. In this exclusive
contribution of Ashoka's for providing the best educativefacilites to CWSN
students had emphasized centre’s HRD ministry to enhance the school with
educative supplements.
Bal Bhartis Trust institute for special children has come a long
way to make their mission successful and has extended branch in Mirza outskirts
of its main Guwahati, Beltola center. Currently it has boy’s hostel also to
ease parent’s hardship in travelling where even home plan is on the rope to
ease out mothers worry in meeting out child’s requirements and care, remaining
far from them.
Inspired by Ashoka’s successful attempt even places
like Nagaon, Jorhat, Hojai, Golaghat and Darrang districts of Assam are ready
to open such CWSN institutes to empower special students to become a responsible and
independent citizen of India.
