Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation’s First Cost Effective Special NE Tourist Train


It is in joint effort of IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) and N.F. Railway had introduced the “Astha Circuit Tourist Train” for Kamakhya, Puri and Bhubaneshwar network as proposed in the budget according to the Railway Minister.


It is a tourist dedicated train “Astha Circuit” to help meet the demand of NE region as greater population of it traverse from Assam entry point to last exit Bhubaneshwar daily. In this Assam to Bhubaneswar destination special network N.F.Railway has initiated couple of stoppages where Kolkata is also included for the people’s convenience.


N.F. Railway’s this first historic attempt to run train specially dedicated for pilgrim’s convenience for safer and cost effective journey to varied destinations like Konark Temple, Sri Jagannath Temple, Kalighat, Lingaraj Temple, Sri Swamy Narayan Temple, Gangasagar and Birla Temple within 7 days and 6 nights without tax at Rs 850.00 per each in a day.


“Astha Circuit Tourist Train” number 00561 adds special services like sleeper class facility with breakfast inclusive of lunch and dinner apart temple tour with local transport arrangement at total cost of Rs 6,161 per each. The initial session of this package is to start from 17th Feb to 23rd Feb.



Special services to tourist apart “Astha Circuit” ensures passenger enjoys the same offer willing to board and de-board at destinations like New Cooch Behar, Malda, New Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, New Farakka, Pakur, Bolpur and Rampurhat that falls in the same track.
