Let’s Not Wait Arunachal Pradesh


In reflect to Narender Modi's vision to set 24x7 power for all by 2022,  Arunachal Chief Minister Kalikho Pul after the meet with NITI Ayog in New Delhi disclosed about soon implementation of 100 MW hydro project in the state.

It is under Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) small hydro projects will soon go on floor for promo and construction of it. The Ministry of Environment and Forests consent is vitally important before starting of the hydro project.

Basin Study could delay fast establishment of hydro project in Arunachal, CM Pul justified his stance, expressing, “Various clearances for the project must be expedited. We have to be practical and must strike a balance between the demands of environmental concerns and obligations of development."

Fearing implement of Basin Study, Arunachal CM from previous experience reflected, "The projects proposed to be dropped as an outcome of Basin Study." If we have to develop then power sufficiency matters what Pul expressed, "We must strike a balance between the demands of environmental concerns and obligations of development."
