NOTA supporters to be inked is alternatively not going for vote a matter of appearing in poll but not casting vote to any candidates. Increasing number of voters turned out in Assam 2021 also displays increasing NOTA selection such that if there is no ideal candidate than they could stop from choosing the worst.
Way Back in 2013 NOTA was introduced but in Assam it came into exercise in 2016 but even if it gets the highest majority still the second listed voter will come into power.
Even the Supreme Court was in concern that in public interest NOTA superiority should excel over the candidate with next highest votes but it was not applied by the Centre and the Election Commission of India yet. People should understand that “NOTA” could not solution this ‘dislike’ problem as it could not stop the worst candidate from advancing into power if won with highest votes.
