Visitors all over India try to visit ‘Nupi Keithel’ during winter visit to Manipur. The grand cultural and post harvest festival ‘Gaan Ngai’ which once way back in 1976 was declared a restricted holiday and public holiday since January, 1998, is under way to mark the end of the year. The entire Imphal valley is lit up with the march of the five to seven days event ‘Gaan- Ngai,’ which is conducted by the Zeliangrong community. But now this famous festive is also trending in other communities of Imphal due to its unique cultural essence. ‘Gaan Festival’ is affected by not only by the Zeliangrong community but also by rest of India as the government of India has declared it to be the tourist festival of India.
