The exceeding river water of
Ranganadi in Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh had unexpectedly swept
away a mid aged man while he was trying to cross through it after returning
from his work at his rubber paddy field.
The person who was drowned was
originally from Laba village of Kurung Kumey district but he was residing at
Damsite of Naharlagun area, it was at 2 p.m. when the unfortunate incident
occurred while he was returning from his work with two more persons accompanied
.
The rescue teams were immediately
called upon but NDRF and ITBP could not trace the body within that day as due
to prevailing darkness could not continue with the operation. The search for the body in the muddy current
water of Ranganadi will be followed on Monday next but temporarily people are
warned from taking any extreme step to cross the river.
