2019-20 Budget Justifies To The Size Of Minor Farmer In Northeast

It is not just Nagaland but even rest states of Northeast like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya also think that the newly released financial schemes of 2019-20 interim budget by the Centre is well justified where the huge size of minor farmers are concerned.

Introduce of Kishan Samman Nidhi scheme in 2019-20 interim budget comes as a financial rescue of Rs 6000 to marginal farmers where its additional feature the Prime Minister Shram Yogi Maandhan scheme bears financial support even to the laborers of unorganized sectors with initiative of Rs. 3000 pension provision.

NDA (National Democratic Alliance) government of Nagaland hopes the new budget’s decision of 21 per cent increment for entire northeastern region and MGNREGA’s development would help take state’s economy ahead as the previous governance failed to make any major improvement to its condition.

New 2019-20 interim budget is estimated to bring futuristic progress to entire Northeast minor farmers inclusive of all other sectors under 58,166 corer financial allotment to this region. In contrary to Finance Minister Piyush Goyal’s verdict that the new budget is prepared in the best of Northeast development, the Congress party demanded for more transparency on the allocation of 21% increment, labeling it to be a ‘cosmetic’ budget with layers of foundation to drive voters for next election.

Arunachal Pradesh government is quite assure of financial benefit from Centre for state’s development through its latest release of budget‘s increment of 21% according to the BJP's Arunachal Pradesh unit President Tapir Gao.

The Naga People's Front (NPF), BJP's former ally had invited this budget decision by acknowledging that its minimal size of increment justifies as  the region had remained neglected under previous governance and expects end to the long term suffering of the peasant under its specially designed schemes for financial grant.

Even Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma appreciated this budget move of Centre in the recent announcement of 21 percent allocation inclusive of schemes benefiting 6000 near farmers with 2 hectares below land area.
