Back in 90’s the Assam Publication Board had garnered more book popularity with conduct of several book fairs but with online challenges it’s counteracting more trouble and proposes the government of the state to invest 70 lakh on its road to progress.
Ten day book fair in today’s time is a big challenge where participants outside the state also count. Now the glorious ‘The Northeast Book Fair’ has much lost its charm where states like Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Mizoram are reluctant to participate. Bringing t
hese states back into active participation the Assam Publication Board has to invest a lot to attract all genre crowd.
