the noted Bollywood filmmaker in the jubilation to refresh beforehand the strong
memories of late Bhupen Hazarika’s 92nd birthday on 5th
November a book on him named as ‘As i knew him’ was launched in Mumbai, Maharashtra to reflect on
this great legend’s rich legacy to keep humanitarian integrity and brotherhood relationship
intact through his creative and heart striking works.
Bhupen
Hazarika was not a passionate singer but was also intensely driven to social
and cultural issues to heal human relation in the present society and cross border
to lead the upcoming generation to a
golden era. Kalpna Lajmi by Hraper Collins gives an insight to Bhupen hazaika’s
life journey and unrevealed touching moment with the effort of Ranjit
Barthakur.
On this
special evening of the book launch on 8th September by Kalpna Lajmi certain noted personalities
from Bollywood domain graced the event by wearing the traditional Assamese
Gamosa around them as a mark of respect to the legend. Celebrities like Prasoon
Joshi, Mahesh Bhatt, Shyam Benegal and Adil Hussain had graced the event to
promote Kalpna Lajmi’s painstaking effort in launching Bhupen Hazarika’s book who is famously known as the great son of Assam or ‘the Bard of Brahmaputra’.
