Termed as Sakura in Japanese language this newly found cherry blossom in Manipur unlike Japan cherry blossom it grows in dense mixed evergreen forest that grow upto 25-30 metres was founded by two scientists Jennifer N Mekrini and Biseshweri Thongam.
