LGBI and CM Sonowal Take Caution

Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport specially arranges for Haj pilgrims as passengers  account increases annually where in 2016 an estimate of 4,600 Hajis from Northeast are expected to take off from its air terminal point.


Specially 16 flights are arranged for Northeast Hajis alone till August 14 as per to the demand of the State Haj Committee by LGBI airport authority. Counting from 4th August flights to  Jeddah from LGBI Airport will resume.


In India the LGBI air terminus is considered as one of the 21 extradition points for the Haj pilgrims in the nation. Observation for smooth and safe journey LGBI authority takes extra measures for the Haj  pilgrims so that the passengers do not counteract any kind of hassle during baggage checking, transportation, boarding, lodging, food, boarding documentation process, refreshment and security. Already first batch of 300 Haj pilgrims has been dispatched from Assam to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.


More than a flight journey for Haj pilgrims plying from LGBI, Guwahati air route to Jeddah to observe Haj-e-Baitullah even the Chief Minister of Assam, Sonowal made special contribution for pleasant experience of this holy mission, presented pouch for passport visa, medicines, documents, guide book and contact details for communication process with Saudi Authority while visiting Mecca for  conduct of Haj rituals.
