Victims of
any crime is a social matter and public concern where it of utmost importance to
make better heaven with healthy co-operation with the security system as
arranged by the government but on the contrary people restrain from being more
interactive due to their fear and typical mindset, concerning to this crucial
issue Assam police has initiated police reception as per to ‘Overall Improvement
of Than Responsive Image (MOITRI) scheme.
The initial stage
of this state government initiated mission to empower police was embarked recently
with launch of police reception in the station where staff members are trained on
soft skills and public relations to understand the case with friendly approach
so that the victim feels confident to divulge the matter. On the account of
this mission five police stations have been modified with a new reception
counter at Panbazar, Dispur, Jalukbari, Fatasil Ambari and Bharalumukh divisions.
According to the
government development policy there will be an investment of 125 corer for
materializing this vast crucial project of modifying 346 police stations in the
entire statewide with essential features like waiting lounge, video conference
space, separate women cell, children cell, infrastructure modification plus drinking
water facility, separate gender toilets including boundary wall.
