Back in 2011 when the
processing of 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydro Electric Project was stalled under
the pressure of anti-dam activists of Assam to which Arunachal Pradesh Chief
Minister Pema Khandu is trying to give it a complete look and resume operation
through immediate dialogue with Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal.
The clearance on this
sensitive long term dam objection has to be made on the counterpart of Assam CM
Sarbananda Sonowal and Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal opinion before getting
its infrastructure operation functional.
Lives of people in Lower
Subansiri district, Assam endangers water devastation as the dam is positioned
above it where on the other hand the disruption of the project work process is
creating per day loss of Rs 1.20 corer for Arunachal government.
For Arunachal state the
ideal Subansiri project is creating great tension as to finish the other 50% of
its infrastructure the cost would exceed Rs 17,435 corer from the previous
amount where additionally government has to bear expenditure of Rs 9000 corer
for retaining its condition.
